ATLANTA ? Rookie Mike Scott scored 17 points, Lou Williams and Ivan Johnson had 13 apiece and the Atlanta Hawks beat the depleted Dallas Mavericks 110-94 in a preseason game on Saturday night.
The Mavericks were without star forward Dirk Nowitzki and center Chris Kaman, who both stayed home to recover from injuries. Rookie Jae Crowder scored 15 for Dallas, and Vince Carter had 13.
Hawks center Al Horford didn't return for the second half after he was bothered by a sore right calf. He had four points and two rebounds in 14 minutes.
Nowitzki, an 11-time All-Star, could miss the next six weeks with a right knee injury. Kaman, who signed as a free agent in July, is out with a strained right calf muscle.
