VAN, Turkey ? Authorities say at least 32 people, including a Japanese aid worker and two Turkish journalists, were killed in the second earthquake to hit eastern Turkey in about two weeks.
Turkey's disaster management authority said Saturday that 30 people have been pulled out alive from the rubble of two hotels that collapsed when the 5.7-magnitude quake hit the eastern city of Van late Wednesday.
Rescue workers pulled out the bodies of the reporters from the Dogan news agency early Saturday. The Japanese aid worker, who came to Turkey to help victims of the previous magnitude-7.2 temblor that killed 604 people on Oct. 23, was rescued alive but died in a hospital Thursday.
Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan is scheduled to visit the quake zone on Saturday.
